CAKE CUTTING

The cake would normally get cut at most receptions straight after the speeches have concluded. As a result the room is normally silent except for the clicking of camera shutters. Most couples would select a song here just to 'break the ice' and your DJ will be happy to play this song softly in the background whilst you cut the cake and have a toast. We usually don't get all the way to the end of the song, and if this is the case we will softly fade the song out in favour of what is coming next.

Often the cake cutting song is the song that didn't quite make the cut for your first dance, or it might be a song that has sentimental value but is difficult to dance to.
